This fall
the weather played a key factor in our meeting with a hurricane
in Princeton and pending snow storm in Newark, we managed to have
great speakers for both meetings.
In September
Ed Albaugh presented the results from our meeting survey. Our
December meeting was focused on mint and cooling compounds. Dr.
Ross Sheldon of A.M. Todd spoke about the different mint growing
regions, the different types of mint flavors, Mentha Piperita,
Mentha Spicata and Arvensis mint oils. Dr. Mark Erman from Millenium
Flavors gave us an overview of the cooling compounds. He included
topics of discovery and marketing and patenting these items in
different oral care and skin care products. His presentation is
posted in John Leffingwell's website.
As luck would
have it for our speakers, we honored John on becoming an honorary
member of the Society this fall. These three speakers have worked
together in the past and it was somewhat of a reunion for them
to all be speakers at the same meeting.
Congratulations
Jack!
