Hello fellow
Society members.
I hope as the
summer is quickly ending everyone had a fun and safe season.
I am looking
forward to a productive and fun year as your president. I want to
start off the year by thanking all those members that contacted
me over the summer to volunteer their services, we all know how
many volunteers it takes to maintain an active organization. Thanks
so much!
IFT in Anaheim
was very well attended. The speaker, Kim Magin was from Monsanto
and she kept all attendees awake at 7:30 in the morning. Her talk
was based on modern biotechnology in Agriculture what the future
looks like in biotech
.
We have good programs scheduled for this year, look for the program
committee's report on the following pages. My many thanks for
an exciting slate of educational and entertaining speakers.
I urge all our members to use our website www.flavorchemist.org.
We have updated the pages to include job openings. Remember to utilize
this for members only benefit. Encourage your companies to post
any openings. We encourage all our members to update their record
when you have an address change, we really want to find you! Contact
Tony Moore for an access
password if you have never used the webpage.
We are trying
to have the flavor history book updated this year. Anyone with information
they would like to contribute about those companies that have experienced
changes since 1995, I know there is a lot of company news out there,
I'm looking for your help.
See you all
at the September 12th meeting in Princeton
