On the road again
Dear
Members,
After a mild
winter and 3 meetings, we are back to business with 10 new members
(4 apprentice and 6 certified) plus 9 upgrades. Congratulations
y'all! Bios and photos are available
for you inside this edition.
Many changes have occurred within the last year. Allow me to invite
you to read Bob Vogt's
president's letter. Before passing the gavel, Bob will give
you an overview on where we are and where are we going as a Society.
If you thought of China as only fortune cookies and chinese food,
you will be enticed by Eugene Buday's new article: A
flavor chemist's short walk through China. This informative
article will open your eyes to all the flavor business possibilities
in the most populated country in the world.
The recipient of the 2002 Society of Flavor Chemists Scholarship
through the Institute of Food Technologists, Dana M. Dronen, has
sent a very nice thank you letter
that we would like to share with all the members.
And Last but not least, the winner of the contest "Flavor
Creations by Numbers" (see last edition) is Robert Maksym
from Givaudan. Robert will receive a free dinner at the next Society
of Flavor Chemist meeting that he wishes to attend.
Thank you
all for you participation.
