Hello!
If
you are reading this on your computer, you have probably checked
our web site before. New features have been added.
Now you can help us to maintain an up to date roster. How? You
are now able to update your address, phone number, business info,
etc. If you keep updating your profile, we will guarantee you
that you will receive all notifications, meeting notices and newsletters
that you are entitled to as an SFC member.
As same as last time, the printable option of this newsletter
is available using Adobe Reader, under the link "printable
edition".
If
you are reading this from a mailed printed copy, please feel free
to join us in the adventure of the web experience. Our web site
address is http://flavorchemist.org. Click the newsletter link
and then the click on the summer 2001 edition.
By
now, you have received the last meeting's minutes and if you did
not notice, our new president Bob Vogt announced that we will
be holding for the first time a far western meeting in California
in January 2002.
To keep you posted, I have included a calendar
of events. In the same topic, please read Ed
Albaugh's SFC Program notes 2001-2002 to learn about the education
program for these meetings and if you find something of interest,
please try to attend.
On
another note, read Robert Vogt's introductory President's
letter, learn about his plans for the SFC and extended outlook
of the year's events.
Please
welcome to the society 4 new members and read their autobiographies
in the "new members and upgrades" section.
Summer
is still in progress, make the best of your time with Gerard
Mosciano 's article. It will give you insights on the information
highway available on the web.
Have
you ever asked yourself what motivated you to become a SFC member?
Has your membership helped you to further your career? Take a
look at Eugene Buday's Flavor Notes
section and drop us a note if this article motivates you.
If
you would like to participate, I am including a listing
of contacts for each committee. Please feel free to contact
us.
And
last but not least, our job posting
is available. Contact Al Saldarini if necessary.
We
would love to hear from you.
